Tom Dixon unveils new Collection at the Coal Office

Highly acclaimed British designer, Tom Dixon, last week presented the latest pieces in his ever-expanding arsenal. Each piece a stand-out creation, much like the rest of the designer’s innovative collections, was unveiled at the designer’s HQ in Granary Square, London.

Set within the beautiful new showroom at The Coal Office, Tom unveiled two new-look candles each with their own, unique scent. The newest additions to the pre-existing candle collection are inspired by two polarising influences, the first being ‘underground’ and the other ‘alchemy’. Priding himself on creating honest and resilient objects for everyday use, Tom revealed a new range of accessories, most notably the contrasting, geometrical bookends and similar candle holders.

We took this opportunity to scout out the new restaurant, The Coal Office, which has Tom’s signature stamp all over it. The restaurant is headed up by chef Assaf Granit who has created a Middle Eastern-inspired menu with each dish presented on Tom Dixon crockery. The venue comprises of two outdoor terraces, perfect for summer, the main indoor restaurant as well as a bar and bakery.

Clementine Communications was particularly taken by the new restaurant and the potential it holds for hosting future events. It overlooks the Coal Drops Yard and the hustle and bustle of Granary Square. The restaurant is set within a beautifully renovated 1851warehouse with a mouthwatering menu we can’t wait to sample. Keep your eyes peeled for our feedback when we do!
