Wimbledon is well underway, and two of our favourite clients The Balcon and Cointreau have created the perfect accompaniment to your courtside (or tv-adjacent!) fun: The Wimbledon Cocktail.
With Finals Fever taking over the city this weekend and sunshine on the menu, we think it’s time we learnt just how to make this delicious beverage.
You will need:
- 15 ml Cointreau
- 40ml Fair gin
- 30ml lime juice
- 20ml cucumber syrup
- 8 basil leaves
- Mint biters
- Champagne (optional)
- Cucumber and lemon twist
Now that you’ve got the goods, let’s learn how to put them all together:
– In a cocktail shaker, lightly muddle the basil leaves with all the ingredients.
– Add plenty of ice cubes and shake vigorously.
– Double strain and pour into a martini glass.
– Top up with Champagne if you wish and garnish with cucumber and a lemon twist.
Delicious! Fresh and zesty, with that Cointreau charm.
Maybe it’s the cocktail talking, but we have a feeling this is going to be a very good weekend!
