Château de Pommard, one of the most iconic wine estates in Burgundy, led by the Carabello-Baum family, has announced the release of the Clos Marey-Monge 2017 vintage alongside the château‘s Clos Marey-Monge experience.
Each year, Château de Pommard releases its signature wine: the Clos Marey-Monge Monopole, a blend of seven cuvées made from seven distinct terroirs – Simone, Chanterie, Les Paules, Grands Champs, 75 Rangs, Micault and Émilie.
This year, with the 2017 vintages, Château de Pommard takes a new step towards representing the purest expression of Burgundy by releasing new Clos Marey-Monge cuvées. A sunny spring and summer with perfectly ripe grapes harvested the first two weeks on September resulted in the best yields in a decade. A collection of five elegant wines will be introduced – each cuvee is only produced from a specific terroir, adding to the distinct character in each wine.
