As it was International Women’s Day yesterday, we’re marking the occasion by putting the spotlight on one of our superstars here at Clementine Communications – Catherine! She’s taken to working in our fast-paced agency like a duck to water and we couldn’t be more proud! Keep reading to find out a little more about her:
What did you study and how did you start in PR?
Studying Anthropology at Durham University has equipped me for my PR role at Clementine Communications, with a thorough grounding in how language can drive agendas forward. I had also just completed an internship in the lead up to and during London Fashion Week, where my responsibilities included helping the key production team schedule events, researching sustainable fashion and sustainable fashion influencers as well as attending fashion week and assisting the production team onsite at the various designer shows. This experience positively equipped me in preparation for my work in such a fast-paced and exciting agency.
What’s the best part about working in PR?
Everything! I love the relationship building aspect of PR with journalists and clients alike, as well as the intricate links between PR, marketing and sales and how PR can act as an essential stepping stone in helping brands flourish. It is the best feeling when you see your client in a magazine or digital platform and how that can relate to bringing traffic to the website, or driving sales.
What are some of your passions in life?
I love all aspects of culture, I love people, going to exhibitions and events, sport, music and cooking! (although my cooking skills are a work in progress…) oh and I love a good glass of wine!
